Approach |
The emphasis at Cognisys is on analysis and design.
We analyse the business, its information and its processes, and
create a model.
We design all aspects of the solution and its components, and
create a model.
The models are stored in a central information repository for
the business to keep and use.
Modelling is the key to driving the software development life cycle (SDLC). Modelling is not just about creating pictures for documentation. We use the Unified Modelling Language (UML) to drive the implementation of any solution for our clients.

Cognisys is a firm adopter of the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) approach as proposed by the Object Management Group (OMG). We have our own MDA tool kit called ‘Genome’ which we use to generate most of our solutions directly from UML models. Wherever practical, we adopt open industry standards. We adopt industry leading methodologies and use state-of-the-art techniques, tools and technologies. Cognisys is however completely vendor neutral.
